Award-winning, accessible learning
Together with the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and Chemmedia, we made eTrainings inclusive and accessible for everyone. This commitment to digital accessibility won the eLearning AWARD 2025 in the “Inclusion” category. The goal of the project was to develop web-based training courses that meet the strict requirements of the WCAG 2.1 AA standards while being visually appealing and accessible to all target groups. Promoting an Inclusive Learning Culture
The project focused on creating learning opportunities that are not only accessible but also inspiring and motivating. Through interdisciplinary collaboration with Chemmedia, we developed content that considered the needs of people with and without disabilities. This project makes a significant contribution to fostering an inclusive learning culture within the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft community and beyond.
Accessible and Highly Interactive
The implementation was carried out using the e-learning authoring tool Knowledgeworker Create. In addition to being fully responsive on different devices, special emphasis was also placed on user-friendliness and interactivity in way so the content could be intuitive to any user. By adhering to WCAG 2.1 AA standards, we not only ensure legal compliance but also provide an inclusive learning experience that reflects the diversity of target audiences.Pioneering Collaboration
This project highlights the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration for success. Thanks to the close partnership with Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and Chemmedia, we not only achieved an award-winning result but also made a valuable contribution to equal opportunities in e-learning.
